Bhubaneswar: Activists of BJD youth wing staged a dharna here on Friday demanding resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in view the crticial draft report of the Public Accounts Committee in the 2G spectrum scam.

A large number of Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD) demonstrators, including MLAs and several senior leaders, staged the dharna near Raj Bhavan raising slogans in support of their demand.

"Manmohan Singh has lost the moral right to continue in office. He should step down forthwith in order to pave way for an impartial probe into the scam by the CBI," said BYJD convenor Sanjay Dasburma.

BJD`s attack on the prime minister has come at a time when the Naveen Patnaik government in Orissa is being accused of largescale corruption and financial irregulrities in different sectors.

Dasburma, also MLA from Brahmagiri, said BYJD activists would hold demonstrations for the next 10 days across the state, including in district headquarters demanding Singh`s resignation.
