Odisha cabinet reshuffle buzz grows as CM Majhi meets BJP chief JP Nadda in Delhi
Speculations about a possible cabinet reshuffle in Odisha have once again gained momentum after Chief Minister Mohan Majhi met BJP National President JP Nadda in New Delhi on Saturday.
The Chief Minister shared photographs of the meeting on his official X handle and informed that he had discussed the organizational and political situation in the state with the BJP chief.
“Today in New Delhi, I had the privilege of calling on our party’s Hon’ble National President and Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda Ji. We discussed organizational matters, the current political scenario, and the roadmap for future initiatives. His visionary guidance will continue to inspire us to serve with dedication and commitment,” CM Majhi wrote in his X handle.
The meeting comes at a time when talk of a cabinet expansion or reshuffle in Odisha is gaining traction within political circles. Majhi’s discussion with Nadda on state affairs has further fueled speculation about imminent changes in the composition of his council of ministers.
Adding to the buzz, Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal is also currently in New Delhi. Sources said that apart from deliberations on the state’s political scenario, discussions may have also included the upcoming Nuapada Assembly by-election.
With the bypoll approaching, the BJP is expected to finalise the party’s candidate for Nuapada during this visit.
Recently, BJP chief Manmohan Samal had clarified that there are no plans for Cabinet expansion upon his return from Delhi.
