Bhubaneswar: Basti Suraksha Manch (BSM) in a convention organized on Saturday at Lower PMG square here alleged that the slum dwellers have been forcefully dealt in the city while they are being evicted without providing proper rehabilitation to them. BSM raised the voices of protest for the slum dwellers in the city facing demolition everyday
BSM has plans to hold similar meetings in the campus of Lohia Academy in the city on April 24 and 25. The meetings are scheduled to be attended by the manch members from the state and outside.
The convention was attended by Sanjay Singhvi, General Secretary, TUCI. It discussed how insensitively eviction takes place; how the slum dwellers are bundled out of the basti as their houses are bulldozed.
