BSF Jawan foils dacoity bid in Koraput; one Maoist arrested

Koraput: A BSF Jawan caught hold of a Maoist and four of his associates after foiling a dacoity attempt at Ankadali in Koraput district on Saturday.

According to police sources, the prime accused has been identified to be a resident of Bichelpada village under Machhakhund police limits while his four associates were identified as Bhim Khara, Liu Pangi, Laichan Pangi and Malki Khara.

Late on Saturday night, the five miscreants barged inside the house of one Shyam Badanayak in Hanumaal village here in a bid to loot him. Soon after getting information, a BSF Jawan posted in the Ankadali area rushed to the spot and successfully nabbed them, informed sources.

Later, the Jawan handed all the five miscreants to Machhakund police.
