Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), the agency which conducts the matriculation examination, today constituted a 10-member committee headed by its secretary to monitor the matriculation regular examination starting from April 17. The controller of examinations, finance officer and secret officer are other members of the committee which came into effect from today itself. The committee would review the conduct of matriculation regular examination on daily basis.

The BSE has decided to conduct a training camp for Nodal Officers and District Inspectors of Schools from April 3 and also appointed 11 Coordinators for an equal number of districts.

Meanwhile, about 3,300 ex-regular candidates have been booked by the board for indulging in malpractice in the examinations which ended today. Over 54,400 candidates appeared in the examination as ex-regular candidates. Maximum number of malpractice cases were booked in Sambalpur district while in Puri district the number was the lowest.
