Woman involved in baby theft at SCB hospital arrested

Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police has nabbed the woman, whose photo was released by the cops yesterday, for stealing a newborn from the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on March 8.

Besides, the Mangalabag police yesterday night rescued two newborns, who were stolen by the woman from the SCB hospital on January 5 and March 8. While one was recovered from Kafla Bazar, the other one was rescued from Barang area.

Police suspect the accused woman, who identified herself as an ASHA worker and abducted the baby boy from the Cuttack hospital, might be involved in similar case at other places as well.
