Without question papers, hundreds fail to take exam

Nabarangpur: As many as 277 children of Unitta Upper Primary School in Papadahandi of Nabarangpur today failed to appear for their examination after question papers didn’t reach the school.

As per reports, the students arrived at the school at 6 AM ahead of their examination which was scheduled from 7 AM to 8.30 AM. The students waited for nearly three hours and returned home without appearing the examination as question papers did not reach the school.

When asked about the matter, the headmistress of the school, K Indira said that the school authorities would conduct the written examination in the second half alongside the verbal examination.

Meanwhile, the block education authorities said action will be taken against the persons found guilty.

“I had directed the CRCC (Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator) to make sure that the question papers reach the examination centres before the commencement of the examinations but since negligence has been reported, I will investigate and take action accordingly, said Kalakar Bhitiria, the assistant district education officer.
