Three tier security cover for Assembly budget session
Bhubaneswar: A three-tier security cover has been put on place in and around Odisha Assembly in view of the two phase budget session scheduled to begin today, Twin City Police Commissioner YB Khurania said.
The commissioner along with Police DG KB Singh and State Intelligence Director took stock of elaborate arrangements here.
Speaking to media persons after the review of arrangements Khurania said security has been intensified in and around areas of the Assembly.
“Inner perimeter, Outer perimeter and sensitive areas where section 144 has been imposed have been barricaded and police personnel have been deployed,” he added.
At least 31 police platoons have been deployed to provide security cover during the ensuing legislative session.
Quick Reaction Team (QAT), Roof Top Security have also been arranged to keep strict vigil on any untoward happenings. Bhubaneswar DCP is in-charge of the security while 5 Assistant SP and 100 other officials have also been engaged.
