Sex racket busted by Lingaraj police, 3 women rescued
Bhubaneswar: Close on the heels of sealing hotels and parlours for being used as brothels, Commissionerate police on Tuesday busted another sex racket operating from a beauty parlour in the city.
According to reports, three women were rescued while four persons were arrested following a raid by a special team of Lingaraj police on the parlour.
Earlier, Commissionerate police had sealed two hotels, one guest house, two beauty parlours and two houses in the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar on May 19.
The hotels and parlours were sealed for allegedly being used as brothels since long.
The Commissionerate Police ordered for the closure of such places by attachment of these premises for a period of one year under section 18 (1) of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act, 1956 from the date of its actual attachment.
