The lady journalist was travelling to Cuttack from Kendrapara when the incident occurred on Wednesday.
Though the victim also tried to report the matter by dialling the police helpline number (100) and special helpline number (1091), her calls went unanswered.
“We are looking into all aspects and appropriate action will be taken in this case,” Khurania added.
