Now, strict action against teachers running private tuitions
Bhubaneswar: In a move to tackle unethical practices in education, school and mass education minister Debi Prasad Mishra has directed all the district education officers to take stern action against government school teachers involved in private tutorials and coaching centres.
It is alleged that the high school teachers, running private tuitions, are coaxing students to take coaching from them; they are even pressurizing students and their parents.
As per reports, government teachers are also asking students for money to help them at the HSC exam centres. Teachers neglecting their duty and not carrying out the responsibility of imparting quality education has also been alleged.
Mishra has ordered to keep a vigil on such teachers involved in these illegal practices and take drastic action against them.
Besides, the authorities will take immediate action on complaints received regarding any such activity or incident.
