‘No Helmet, No Petrol’ rule in Cuttack from today
Cuttack: After implementing ‘No Helmet No Petrol’ rule in the state capital, the Commissionerate Police is all set to enforce the rule in the millennium city of Cuttack with effect from Friday.
According to sources, the rule will be enforced in petrol filling stations functioning across the city. No biker without helmet will be allowed to fill petrol in their vehicle from today, the sources added.
Police will be deployed at all petrol pumps to check whether the rule is being followed properly or not, sources in the police informed.
On June 13, the Commissionerate Police had convened a special meeting of petrol pump owners asking them not to sell petrol to motorists not wearing helmets.
