Journos turn good Samaritans, handle ‘insane’ woman with dignity

Bhubaneswar: On Monday, it was a different experience for some print and electronic media journalists, who found a nude woman on the streets of the capital city here, offered her some clothes and later handed over to the police.

The woman later seemed insane, police said.

During their routine coverage of events, some journalists spotted a lady without clothes on the busy Market Building area. Barefoot, she was seen moving from AG square to PMG square.

Alerting the police about the incident, the newsmen stopped the lady midway and asked her to wear the clothes she was carrying in a bag. Sources said, she behaved normally with them and acted as per their words.

When police reached the spot, the journalists handed her over to them.

Though identity of the lady is yet to established, police said she seems to have lost mental balance.
