JEE Advanced 2017 today, 2700 students from Odisha to appear

Bhubaneswar: Over 2,20,000 students will appear in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2017 today of which 2700 aspirants are from Odisha.

Out of 45,000 students from the State who appeared in JEE Mains this year, only 2700 qualified for the JEE Advanced examination.

The JEE Advanced 2017 will be conducted in two parts. While Paper 1 is scheduled to be from 9 am to 12 pm, Paper 2 will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm.

The candidates who will subsequently clear the JEE advanced, will be eligible to get admissions in Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad and in all the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) across the country.

The cut off to qualify for JEE Advanced 2017 was 81 for General students, 49 for OBC, 31 for SC and 27 for ST students.

Meanwhile, students have to produce a hard copy of their admit card at the exam hall today where, in exchange for the photocopy, the original JEE Advanced 2017 admit card will be issued to them. Apart from the admit card, the candidates are allowed to carry black ball point pen, pencils and original photo ID card.
