Group clash at BJD workers’ meet in Rayagada
Bhubaneswar/Rayagada: Members of two BJD factions scuffled with each other today in the presence of the party’s general secretary Sanjay Das Burma at a workers’ meet in Bissamkatak of Rayagada district.
As per reports, the group clash broke out following a heated exchange of words between the two groups. The party supporters also reportedly resorted to vandalism and exchanged blows.
Sources said the BJD workers blamed the party leaders of not heeding to their woes and indulging in mere political campaigns.
Senior leaders of the party Lalbihari Himrika and Bhaskar Rao were also present at the meet.
It is important to mention that Burma is BJD’s observer for Rayagada district and entrusted with the responsibility to strengthen BJD’s hold in the region.
