Fresh cheating charge against Air Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Barely five days after the Khandagiri police here registered a fraud case against home grown intra-state flight operator Air Odisha for cheating a shareholder of Rs 1.5 crore, a similar charge has been leveled against it by a service provider on Thursday.

The company, which brought the matter before the General Administration department, said the company had breached the contract over payment.

“It is regrettable that Capt. Pani (Air Odisha) has not honoured his words. We have therefore requested Deccan to hold the Aircraft until Air Odisha complies with its obligation,” the company said in an e-mail.

“Details of the breach of contract should be obvious to all the parties (considering we just had a face to face meeting on March 25th, 2016)…,” it further read.

Though no company official was available for comment on the matter, it is learnt that it has requested the GA department for further action. It is not known whether the company is mulling to register a case against the flight operator.
