Forget multiplex, mobile theatre complex to be hit among rural masses

Bhubaneswar: Rural masses can now enjoy the multiplex cinema viewing experience and for much less, thanks to mobile theatre complex, DigiPlex which has now come to Odisha.

DigiPlex theatre vans run by ‘Picture Time’ will provide entertainment to people mostly in rural pockets inside an all-weather canopy.

“We mainly want to take the mobile cinema theatre concept for rural areas that are deprived of cinema halls. The capacity of the mobile theatre is for 120 to 150 persons,” said Lokesh, an official of Picture Time.

Apart from movies, the mobile theatre can also be used for screening social messages, schemes of the government to create awareness and educate people.

The mobile cinema can be set up in a small location within two hours. It has two emergency exits with all the latest fire safety gadgets.

Lokesh further informed that the set up can also be used for video-conferencing by teachers to directly communicate and impart education to students.

It can also be used even by political leaders, celebrities to reach out people in remote areas through video-conferencing facility.
