CM Naveen differs from Baijayant’s remark on conspiracy in BJD
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today refused to accept the statement of senior BJD MP Baijayant Panda that a few leaders are conspiring to oust some leaders from the party.
“I do not think that (Panda’s remark) is at all correct,” Patnaik told reporters who sought his views on Panda’s statement.
The Kendrapara MP and senior party member Baijayant Panda had on Thursday welcomed the CM’s hint to re-induct the estranged party members into the ruling party fold and said it’s good that he (Patnaik) has decided to look into the matter on a case-to-case basis.
“I welcome his (Naveen’s) decision. Because, in the past some efficient leaders had left the party due to conspiracy. It will be good for the party if they return. Currently, conspiracy is being hatched to oust some leaders from the party, which should not happen,” Panda said.
Meanwhile, BJD spokesperson Pratap Keshari Deb said if he (Panda) is aware of any conspiracy, he should bring it to the notice of the party chief.
