CBI grills former IAS officer Sangram Keshari Ray in chit fund scam
Bhubaneswar: Former IAS officer Sangram Keshari Ray was grilled today for almost 3 hours by the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) officials in connection with the Seashore Chit Fund scam.
The investigating agency had summoned Ray and another bureaucrat Parag Gupta yesterday in connection with the Seashore chit fund case and asked them to appear before it.
Currently, Gupta is on central deputation and presently posted as joint secretary in Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
CBI sources had earlier said that Gupta was posted as secretary of Tourism department while Ray was working as the General Manager of Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) when Odisha government had signed an MoU with Seashore chit fund.
The agreements were signed for a water sports complex in Cuttack and for management of a government guest house in Khurda.
