BJD infighting resurfaces at Gunupur meeting
Gunupur: A day after two BJD factions fought during a meeting at Bisam Katak in Rayagada district, infighting in the regional party resurfaced at Gunupur today.
During a party meeting, a war of words ensued between two groups of the BJD at Gunupur town hall in presence of party’s Rayagada observer and general secretary Sanjay Dasburma. BJD MP Bhaskar Rao, local MLA and other leaders were also present in the meeting.
Yesterday, a clash broke out between two groups of the party following a heated exchange of words during a meeting. The party supporters also reportedly resorted to vandalism and exchanged blows.
The workers blamed the party leaders for paying no heed to their demands and indulging in mere political campaigns.
