Amit Shah to reach city today before National Executive Meet

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Odisha to grace the two day BJP National Executive Meeting, party President Amit Shah will reach the capital city here today.

Party sources said, the leader is scheduled to reach the city at around 1.10 pm and thereafter he will garland the statue of B R Ambedkar. After that he will take part in the OdiaNew Year celebrations at party headquarters along with state leaders.

Shah will chair a closed door meeting with party leaders in the afternoon in which is likely to discuss agenda of the meeting and take stock of preparations ahead of Modi’s visit, party sources said.

Meanwhile, Modi fever has gripped the city with major road junctions bearing cut-outs of the prime minister and party president. Complete saffronisation of roads from Biju Patnaik Airport to Janata Maidan could be seen with roads decorated with party flags.

Hoardings featuring pictures of 13 different Chief Ministers of states, posters of top party cadre leaders including members of party parliamentary board LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sushma Swaraj and several others who are scheduled to take part in the meeting have also been placed at important places of the city.
