12-hr Narasinghpur bandh protests poor healthcare service

Narasinghpur: Protesting the deteriorating healthcare services, locals observed a 12-hour bandh in Narasinghpur of Cuttack district today.

Normal life was partially affected in the town as the protestors staged a road blockade on the Panchamukhi Chhak on the Cuttack-Narasinghpur Main Road disrupting the vehicular movements. Besides, shops and other establishments have remained close during the bandh.

Notably, the local youth organisation had been staging dharna in front of the Tehsil office for the last 10 days protesting the poor healthcare services in the locality. “We took to the streets as the district administration did not fulfil our demands even after the dharna,” said a member of the organisation.

On the other hand, police forces have been deployed at various places in the town to avoid any unpleasant situation during the bandh.
