Bhawanipatna: The bodies of a woman and her two children were recovered from separate locations in Singhjharan village under Sadar Police limits of Bhawanipatna today.

As per reports, one Bimala Majhi was found dead on the railway tracks nearby her village and the blood soaked bodies of her two children were recovered from their house today morning located in the village.

The husband of the deceased woman, Linga Majhi, who works in Bhawanipatna said, "I was there not at home for past three to four months. I didn't even come home for Nuakhai. I used to send money to her for our children's education. Don't know how this happened," alleged Linga.

Mother of the deceased woman said, "My daughter allowed her husband to leave and decided to work alone and feed the children on her own. I don't know whether there was any friction between them, but I have lost my daughter and grandchildren."

Following the incident, an investigation was launched by the Sadar Police.

"We came to know about this incident today morning. We don't know the reason behind these gruesome killings, but whatever it is, it should be properly investigated and the accused should be caught soon," said Rabindra Sahoo, Sarpanch of that village.

In another incident, a man was arrested for allegedly killing his infant son. Though the incident had happened on 30th August, it came to the fore after a complaint was lodged by wife of the accused. As per reports, the accused residing in Geltuar New Colony under Bhadrak Rural Police limits had allegedly buried the body of his son after killing him in an inebriated state.
