Jajpur: Coming down hard on the Centre, BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today asserted that BJP will definitely lose the 2019 general elections.

While addressing poll meetings in Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur which will go to polls in the fourth phase,  Patnaik questioned why despite having double engine government in MP, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Punjab, the saffron party lost the Assembly polls in these States. He also alleged that after demonetisation, the poor in the country have become poorer while youths lost thier jobs.

“Since the BJP has not done anything for the welfare of farmers, it continues to lose elections. The party was boasting about its successful Gujarat model but it narrowly escaped defeate there,” said Patnaik.

The State Chief Minister also accused the Centre of conspiring to stop the KALIA scheme in Odisha.

Naveen also promised that his government will release two instalments (Rs 10,000) of KALIA scheme money on the first day of coming to power in the State.
