Kendrapara: Ahead of general elections this year, the district BJP unit today demanded the transfer of Kendrapara's Collector and Superintendent of Police (SP) alleging that both of them are working for BJD.

"The Kendrapara Collector and SP are acting as BJD's district president and general secretary. Both of them should be transferred," district BJP president, Duryodhana Sahu, alleged.

Sahu further said that selected Inspector In-Charges (IICs) in the district are being transferred keeping-in-view the political interests of local BJD politicians. Also, some employees of government departments are charging percentage commission (PC) and using the money for election expenses of these politicians, he alleged.

Countering the allegations, Kendrapara Zilla Parishad Chairman, Manas Parida said, "Opposition leaders will say many things but it doesn't matter to us. The people are with CM Naveen Patnaik and he will again come up as the leader of the State."
