Bhubaneswar: The 'Make in Odisha Conclave' is scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from November 11-15. While preparations by the BJD-led government are on in full swing, the BJP has raised questions over the State government's industrial policies.

Addressing a presser here at the BJP party headquarters, spokesperson Golaka Mohapatra said that the BJD has turned the 'Make in Odisha' into 'Make in BJD and Break in Odisha.'

"Electricity, water, land and raw materials are the basic things needed for the establishment of industries. Industrial growth in the State can only be possible, if the State government lays importance and focus on these four areas," Mohapatra said.

He further said that the cost of electricity in Odisha is higher as compared to many developed States like Gujarat despite the fact that Gujarat doesn't have coal while Odisha has the same in abundance.

Refuting the allegations of Mohapatra, BJD spokesperson Sasmit Patra said that the State govt has taken steps to implement proposals worth Rs 2 lakh crore over the last 2 years and this year, the government is eyeing to create 30 lakh job opportunities and has an investment target of Rs 2.5 lakh crore.
