Kendrapara: Senior BJD leader Sarat Kar on Monday slammed Law Minister Pratap Jena over the latter's involvement in alleged "unlawful" activities. Refusing to reveal the details about the allegations, Kar stated that  party activists are stifled with the behavior and activities of the minister.

"I tried to apprise party chief Naveen Patnaik about the same, but failed to get an opportunity," said the leader on the sidelines of a meeting at Batamahapurusa in Mahanga constituency. "I wonder how a Law minister can behave in such unlawful manner," Kar added.

Kar stated that injustice has been meted out to MP Baijayant Panda. "His mother Ila Panda used to work for the party. Panda's helicopter was used for party activities. But now when he is trying to provide drinking water to people, hurling stones and eggs at him is unlawful," Kar stated.

Meanwhile, Cuttack district BJD vice president Ramesh Chandra Jena said as far as I know there is no difference between Pratap Jena and Sarat Kar."Kar might have said these things to showcase his ego and the meeting at Batamahapurusa was not a party forum," he said. Jena was unavailable for comments on the statements given by Kar.
