Bhubaneswar: With the countdown already on for the much-awaited Patkura elections, major political parties are leaving no stone unturned to train guns on their rivals.

BJP leader Bhrugu Baxipatra’s statements today that BJD wants saffron party candidate Bijoy Mohapatra to win the Patkura battle added fuel to the ongoing verbal battle between the two parties.

Baxipatra went on to the extent of claiming that those (BJD leaders), who are coming to Patkura for campaigning, are actually working for BJP candidate Bijoy Mohapatra.

“They (BJD) are working only to please their bureaucrat bosses. But they actually want to see Bijoy Mohapatra in Odisha Assembly,” said Baxipatra.

Responding to Baxipatra’s statements, BJD leader Arun Sahoo claimed that,” We are reaching out to people with the vision of our leader CM Naveen Patnaik who is keen on development of Odisha and Kendrapara.”
