BJD stages protest against Nalco divestment

Bhubaneswar: Intensifying its resistance to Nalco divestment, BJD on Friday warned the UPA-led central government of more protests if the divestment decision is not rolled back immediately.

BJD workers joined by employees of the navratna company staged protest in front of Nalco's corporate office here shouting slogans against the Centre's divestment decision.

Earlier, BJD had staged demonstartions at Damanjodi and Angul plants on September 24 and 26, respectively, as a part of of its three-phase protest.

In Damanjodi, nine employee unions had joined the demonstration.
