Bhubaneswar: It was to happen and it has happened. The two sworn enemies in the Biju Janata Dal do not like to waste any oppotunity to make frontal attacks on each other. Even if it is the foundation day celebration of the party. We are talking about former minister Damodar Rout and Rajya sabha member Pyari Mohan Mohapatra. And it was no different at the fourteenth foundation day celebration in the capital.

Former minister and BJD Vice President Dr. Damodar Rout was the first one to arrive at the party headquarter for the celebrations. Then came Pyari Mohan Mohapatra followed by party President Naveen Pattanaik. And the trio then took their seats on the podium. Of course everything went off smoothly on the podium. The duo kept mum about the differences in the party and exhorted the party cadres to fight the opposition unitedly.

But all hell broke loose once the two bitter rivals came down from the podium. When the media asked the Rajya Sabha memebr about the differences among leaders in the BJD, Pyari Mohan Mohapatra replied that there was no differences and Dam Babu was back on the tracks. That was enough for Damodar Rout to react sharply. Continuing the spat, the former minister retorted back,"I was never gone beyond the line. On the other hand it was Pyari Babu who has changed his tracks." Only time can tell who has changed the track and what would be the end of this bitter rivalry.
