BJD MLA protecting land grabbers, alleges Karlapat queen

Cuttack: Persons who have forcibly encroached the Gochar (cow-grazing) land at Chausathipada under Jenapur block of Jajpur district are being provided security by BJD's Dharmasala MLA Pranab Kumar Balabantaray, alleged queen of Karlapat from Kalahandi district, Purnima Singh Deo Wednesday.

Addressing a presser in Cuttack, Deo further alleged that the land grabbers have attacked a member of the royal family Debprasad Deb.

"The goons of Pranab Balabantaray have encroached Gochar and government land and are carrying illegal activities on it. Debprasad had filed a case against it in the Orissa High Court aggrieved on which the legislator has launched a scathing attack on the former," said Deo.

Balabantaray has also influenced the police and witnesses in connection with the case, she added.

On the other hand, Balabantaray has denied to comment on the allegations.
