Sonepur: In yet another embarrassment for the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD), its senior leader and minister Niranjan Pujari faced public wrath during a poll meeting at Kutasira village under Tarabha block in the district on Friday. A video of the entire incident has now gone viral on social media.

Pujari, who is BJD's candidate from Sonepur Assembly constituency, was opposed by villagers during the poll meeting. According to reports, the villagers questioned the minister about lack of developmental activities in the region.

Enraged over the protest, the minister was seen in the video asking the villagers whether he should the stop the meeting midway.

It is not for the first time that Pujari has been at the receiving end as earlier another video in which the minister was seen allegedly threatening a villager during a meeting at Karlajuri village in Dunguripali in the district.

People alleged that Pujari, who was elected from the Assembly seat for four times, failed to ensure basic facilities such as drinking water and better healthcare for residents of Sonepur.

Meanwhile, comments from Pujari on the viral videos could not be obtained.
