Bhubaneswar: The ruling BJD and other political parties including the Left on Saturday staged dharna here slamming the Centre demanding roll back of fuel price hike.

Workers and supporters of BJD burnt effigies of prime minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi against the price hike.

Shouting slogans against Singh and Gandhi, they sought immediate steps to roll back of the increased prices.

Terming the hike in the prices of diesel, LPG and kerosene as a severe blow to the common people, the Left parties including CPI and CPI-M held separate demonstrations and road blockade.
