BJD-Congress blame game continues over Jeypore firing
Koraput: Alleging involvement of senior BJD leader Rabi Nanda in the recent murderous attack on two persons in Jeypore, Congress leader Tara Prasad Bahinipati today demanded an impartial probe into the incident.
At a presser, Bahinipati also showed a photograph in which some suspects in the alleged firing incident are seen with Sports and Youth Services minister Chandrasarathi Behera.
It is pertinent to mention here that a youth and his father were shot by a group of miscreants allegedly over past enmity at Rajanara Chowk in Jeypore of Koraput district on September 25.
Involvement of youth BJD president Bikash Patra and his associates is alleged in the attack.
“BJD leaders are criminals and are terrorizing people in Jeypore. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik should order for a crime branch probe into the incident,” said Bahinipati.
BJD leader Rabi Nanda on the other hand refuted the allegations levelled by Bahinipati.
“Such statement from him (Bahinipati), who has links with gangster Hyder and other criminals, is totally uncalled for. Those involved in the attack will not be spared as BJD has also demanded immediate arrest of the culprits,” said Nanda.
