Puri: Biswajit Biswal today replaced Pradip Dash as the new administrator (Niti) of Puri Srimandir and said that maintaining co-ordination among the servitors to ensure smooth conduct of rituals would be his top priority.

After accepting charge on Monday, Biswal assured that all the problems would be solved through mutual cooperation and understanding. However, he refused to comment on the controversy related to the missing of Srimandir's Ratna Bhandar key.

On the other hand, the outgoing Niti Prashasaka Dash said that there is no mystery behind the missing of key as it was just misplaced during shifting of responsibility.

"No one is trying to understand the root cause of this matter. We were not given the key when we took the charge; the district collector was the custodian then. Therefore, a duplicate key might have been made at that time," said Dash.

Giving a clean chit to the servitors on the Brahma Parivartan fiasco at the Jagannath temple, Dash said that the dispute among the Daitapatis only led to the delay in rituals during  ‘Nabakalebar’.
