Biju Yuva Vahini behind attack on Congress worker: Aul MLA

Kendrapara: Aul MLA Devendra Sharma targeted the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) after one Congress worker was injured in the attack by some members of Biju Yuva Vahini at Manpur village.

At a presser, Sharma further stated that the Congress worker Umakant Nayak is now battling for his life at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.

Nayak was allegedly attacked by Biju Yuva Vahini members near Govindpur-Manpur road when he was returning from his sister’s place on Saturday.

“Biju Yuva Vahini has turned into a ‘goonda’ Vahini and such activities are happening on the instructions of the leader of BJD and Raya Sabha member Pratap Deb,” alleged Sharma.

Sharma further threatened to launch an agitation if no action is taken against those involved in the brutal attack.

BJD leader Pratap Deb on the other hand has refuted such allegations levelled by Aul MLA.

“Devendra Sharma has lost his mental stability and he himself doesn’t know what is saying,” said Deb.
