As per the IMD bulletin, the system is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a deep depression during next six hours.
Reviewing the windfall gains tax, the government slashed cess on crude oil late on Thursday, bringing it down from Rs 17,750 per tonne to Rs 13,000 per tonne.
The low pressure area is likely to become well-marked today and concentrate into depression by tomorrow.
