Following an intensive investigation, police traced and arrested the woman’s husband and four of his associates, all of whom are believed to have played crucial roles in the killing and subsequent dumping of the body. Initial findings indicate that the murder was committed elsewhere, and the body was later dumped near the highway to mislead investigators.

Tension gripped the Godibari locality after some residents noticed the body lying near the National Highway and immediately alerted Chandaka Police. A scientific team accompanied officers to the spot, cordoned off the area, and collected forensic samples, which later helped track down the accused.
