Bhubaneswar to get modern administrative hub with new Lok Seva Bhavan

The Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar is set to undergo a major transformation with the construction of a new administrative complex. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi laid the foundation stone for the new Lok Seva Bhavan on Monday.

According to official plans, the new Lok Seva Bhavan and the new Odisha Legislative Assembly building will be developed within a single integrated campus. The ambitious project will be constructed over 71.13 acres of land and will involve an estimated expenditure of Rs 3,623 crore. The master plan for the project has already received approval.

The foundation stone-laying ceremony will be held at the Lok Seva Bhavan Conference Hall on the occasion of National Road Safety Month, marking the formal launch of the project.

Officials said the new complex will be designed with modern infrastructure and improved facilities to meet future administrative requirements. The proposed Lok Seva Bhavan will feature basement parking facilities to ease parking congestion and enhance accessibility within the campus.

Once completed, the new Lok Seva Bhavan and Legislative Assembly complex is expected to provide a modern, integrated workspace for government offices and lawmakers, while also improving administrative efficiency and public service delivery.

The project reflects the state government’s vision to create a modern administrative hub equipped with contemporary facilities, while bringing key governance institutions under one roof.
