New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: BJD's MP from Cuttack, Bhartruhari Mahtab, received the Best Parliamentarian award for the year 2017 from President Ram Nath Kovind today.

The Lok Sabha member was awarded by the President at an event attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.

Similarly, Trinamool Congress MP Dinesh Trivedi was adjudged Best Parliamentarian of 2016, Congress MP Ghulam Nabi Azad of 2015, BJP MP Hukum Deb Narayan Jadhav of 2014 and former Rajya Sabha member Najma Heptullah was named the best parliamentarian of 2013.
