Puri: The Begging French woman, Catrina Janea Hunder, who was rescued by police in a poor state of health near Konark on Friday, was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment today. The foreign citizen was accompanied by the officials of French embassy and Puri police.
 
The 53-year-old woman, whose VISA has been expired, lived in different mutts, temples and by roads illegally for last few years. However, Puri police will investigate over her illegal staying, sources said.
 
She was taken to   the Nilachal Nari Seva Sadan at Puri where she was treated. On being informed by the police, French consul from Kolkata met her at the Seva Sadan on Friday and assured all help for her safe return to the own country.
 
According to sources, Catrine had been to Odisha a few years ago on a tourist VISA and lived in hotels till her money exhausted.
