Demon King Kansa has imposed a total fine of 12 lakh gold coins after inspecting the government bus stand, during the world-famous Dhanu Yatra of Bargarh. As part of the traditional city tour, King Kansa visited the Bargarh bus stand on Saturday.
However, the poor condition of the premises reportedly angered him. The bus stand was found littered with garbage, while basic facilities meant for passengers were missing. Taking serious note of the situation, Kansa imposed a fine of 7 lakh gold coins on the authorities concerned for failing to maintain cleanliness and provide essential amenities.
Further, allegations surfaced that some bus drivers were operating vehicles after consuming alcohol, posing a serious risk to passenger safety. After assessing the complaints, King Kansa ordered an additional fine of 5 lakh gold coins against those responsible.
In total, a fine of 12 lakh gold coins was imposed. Along with the penalty, strict warnings were issued to the staff and officials to ensure cleanliness, discipline, and passenger safety in the future.
‘I have imposed a fine of 5 lakh gold coins for the delay, along with an additional 7 lakh gold coins for unhygienic bus stand conditions and incidents of drunk driving, taking the total penalty to 12 lakh gold coins. While people are protesting against the state government, drivers must understand their responsibility toward passenger safety. I strictly order them to remain cautious, disciplined, and careful while carrying passengers,’ said King Kansa.
The incident drew widespread attention from locals and visitors, highlighting civic issues through the unique and symbolic platform of the Dhanu Yatra.
