Koraput: The cashier of a local bank was looted and killed by miscreants while he was traveling in a bike in Koraput district on Tuesday.

The 50-year-old man was stabbed to death by miscreants before they looted Rs 3 lakh he had on him, police said.

The man, a cashier with Utkal Gramya Bank at Baipariguda, was returning with the money from the bank's Jeypore branch on Tuesday morning, the police said adding his body was found near Tekbado canal on the road connecting Jeypore and Baipariguda.
