Bhubaneswar: Life teaches different lessons to many during its course. While some take it as pre-destined and condemn fate, few like Jagatranjan learn from such never-dreamt incidents and take a positive attitude towards life.

Can he ever forget the Black Day wayback in 2002 that took away all the dreams from his eyes? Certainly not. Jagatranjan, then a 17 year old student lost both his eyes in a baloon blast in the capital when the country was observing Republic Day. Several other students present in the occasion holding tricolour flags and colourful baloons were also hurt in the accident. Few lost their eyes too.

But Jagatranjan, now a renowned flutist did not look back. He dreamt about flute and started learning all the nuances of the musical instrument from guru Mohini Mohan Patnaik. Within weeks he explored colours of life from the lifeless bamboo stick. At a later stage, his determination and commitment helped him earn a number of acclaims.

Nowadays, the young Odisha talent is busy in preparing to represent India in an international flute competition in China. Good luck Jagat!
