Days after a youth identified as Bhabani Rout and his friend Manoranjan Mohapatra were killed by contract killers engaged by Bhabani's elder brother and sister-in-law, the people of Kansa village under Nilagiri Police limits of Balasore reportedly ostracised the family of the accused couple.
“When my mother-in-law, father-in-law, and their daughter attacked me with a crowbar, I covered my head with my hands. My right hand was broken. They are always forcing me to go for divorce. They are demanding a dowry of Rs 10 lakh and a bike,” the woman lamented.
