Balasore: At a time when the Odisha government is facing criticism for negligence in ensuring proper delivery of public services, Balasore SP has set an example.

As per reports, on Monday, one Kailash Chandra Sahu, a resident of Achyutpur village under Soro Police limits in the district was travelling along with his daughter on a two wheeler, when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.

After the accident, Balasore SP B Jugal Kishore, who was passing through the national highway on his way to Oupada for a meeting, spotted the injured father-daughter duo.

Sahu stopped and wasting no time took both the victims to Soro hospital in his vehicle for treatment. "While travelling to Oupada where I had to attend a joint grievance today, I spotted a man and his daughter who were hit by an unknown vehicle. I took them both to hospital for treatment," said Jugal Kishore.

As per latest reports, health condition of both the father and daughter is stated to be stable.
