Attack on Minister’s brother: BJP’s Jayanarayan walks out of jail on bail
Sambalpur: Senior BJP leader Jayanarayan Mishra, who was behind bars in connection with the attack on brother of Labour Minister Sushant Singh, was granted conditional bail by the Orissa High Court on Tuesday against two sureties of Rs 50,000 each.
The HC also ordered Mishra not to leave the State without permission of the competent authority, informed Mishra’s lawyer Pitambar Acharya.
On February 22, Minister Sushant Singh’s brother Subrat was attacked near Banabira under Sohela police limits ahead of the Bijepur bypoll which was held on February 24.
In the incident, three persons including the minister’s brother were injured whereas driver of Subrat, Dileswar Sahu died while undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital on February 23.
Later, police registered a case against the BJP leader under Section 302, 147, 148, 302 and Arms act.”
