ATM vandalized by miscreants in Balasore

Balasore: An Indicash Automated Teller Machine (ATM) was vandalized by some unidentified miscreants near Pakhar Chhak on Soro-Anantapur road in Balasore district late on Tuesday night.

The matter came into light this morning after locals passing by the ATM spotted the broken kiosk and the damaged machine. After finding the kiosk in complete disarray, the locals subsequently, informed the police.

As per sources, the miscreants allegedly used a gas cutter and as they ran out of fuel they tried to set the ATM counter on fire before fleeing the spot.

On being informed, officials of Town Police Station rushed to the spot and sealed the ATM. However, there has been no confirmation on robbery yet.

Police investigation is underway.
