The issue was raised by Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh of Congress who accused BJD government of failing to keep its promise made at an all-party meet about probe into scam in supply of dal for MDM and supplementary nutrition programme (SNP) meant for children and pregnant women.

As his Congress colleagues displayed placards demanding a broader probe into the dal scam, Singh said the government had promised to produce all information and documents relating to the scam before the House, but it were yet to do so.

Similarly, the state government was yet to widen the purview of investigation by the anti-corruption vigilance department to cover all the 30 districts of the state, Singh said, adding the probe was still confined to five districts.

Angry over government`s failure to keep its word, Congress legislators trooped into the well shouting slogans and creating noisy scenes to press for their demand.

BJP members resorted to slogan shouting to attack the government from their seats.

The House was adjourned several times as uproarious scenes were witnessed repeatedly and appeals from the Chair for restoration of order went unheeded.
