Ashram School Employee Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances

Gajapati: A class-IV employee of Ludru Ashram School in Mohana of Gajapati district was found dead inside his residential quarters on the school premises on Friday.

The matter came to the fore after the wife and daughter of the deceased Jagannath Karji, informed police after finding him dead and lying in a pool of blood this morning.

Initial reports suggested that Karji has been stoned to death as a boulder was found lying beside his dead body which is suspected to be the murder weapon.

Karji's son, Keshab who is reportedly absconding after the incident is suspected to have killed his father by smashing his father's head with a boulder while he was in deep sleep last night, police said.

While police was on the spot investigating the incident, a family feud, more precisely a quarrel between Karji and his son is assumed to be the cause behind the gruesome killing.
